A Quiet Morning

This time last week I drove G to the airport in the early morning. He's been down in Texas interviewing (!) and he was gone for our anniversary (hrmph).

But the drive back from Connecticut with the wind in my hair and fog in the hills was really beautiful.

I spent the rest of my day reading on Smith's campus and exploring the art museum (which I haven't been into since I was a First year!).

Passing NYC again...

Enjoyed DC, but I'm really glad to be back where it is slightly cooler (at only 80-90 F)!I'd like to go back and spend some quality time at the museums. We only had time for gelato and a quick walk through one wing of one building of the National Gallery and the sculpture garden. The National Zoo is super nice, but it was so hot all the animals were hiding out.

...is one of my favorite songs by The Postal Service. And I'll be listening to it on the way down to THE District of Columbia on Monday.

I'm super excited to be hanging out with G's college friends, seeing the fireworks on the National Mall, and stopping by the National Zoo.

We are traveling via train, so I'm super excited to not have to deal with security lines, tiny seats, and not being able to get up and walk around.
